REARRANGED FOR WEDNESDAY 1 FEBRUARY 2017
NUFC Oilers have announced their move to the the Hive Sports Ground in Edgware, home to Barnet F.C., for 2016/17. Oilers will use pitches in the state of the art training complex adjacent to the stadium the Bees have called home since 2013.
Oilers joined the league in 2013, playing home games initially at the Old Latymerians ground in Hounslow before moving to London Marathon Playing Fields in Greenford in 2014. The pitches at the complex are known to be first rate and worthy of Oilers' status in Senior Division 1.
For the attention of all clubs and match officials, especially those participating this Saturday:
Please note that until further notice match officials' fees in the Southern Amateur League will remain the same as for 2014-15 at £32 for referees and £25 for assistants. This decision was taken by the League Management Committee towards the end of 2014-15 in view of the continuing reduction in playing numbers experienced both by our League and across amateur football in general with one reason for falling participation being the increased cost to participants.
However, following the decision by the AFA and other competitions to raise fees to £34 and £27 respectively, the SAL is now considering the option of adopting a unified approach to avoid confusion for players and officials. The issue will be discussed at the next League Management Committee on Tuesday 15 September with a final decision being notified to all participants following the meeting.
For the time being, please note that fees remain as indicated in the handbook (£32/£25) until further notice from the Southern Amateur League Management Commmittee.
