SAL to face Essex & Suffolk Border League on 9 November

The date for the SAL Rep Team's next fixture in the FA Inter-League Cup has been confirmed as 9 November with the game to be played at Little Oakley F.C.

The fixture will mark a return to Harwich for the SAL who played in the League in the 1934-1935 season. The club failed to complete their league season due to extensive cup runs with victory in the AFA Senior Cup and a Final defeat in the Essex Senior Cup topped by reaching the FA Cup 1st Round proper. The following season the club joined Ipswich Town in leaving the SAL to become founder members of the Eastern Counties League.

The team are through to the 2nd Round following Saturday's (29 Sep) convincing 4-0 win away to the Thames Valley Premier League at Reading. Goals from Josh Thompson (2), Owen Bradley and Lee Raji saw the team safely through to the last sixteen.
